My niece is getting married on Feb 3 and just found out that she is honeymooning at the Buccaneer. We wanted to get them a gift certificate for dinner at the Terrace as something alittle extra. We live in Texas-- how would I go about doing this? Linda J, Ric, or anyone?

Call the 800 number - 800-255-3881 and tell the reservations agent what you want and how much you wnat to spend. They will take your name etc and cc info. The hotel will create a certificate that will be delivered to the guest upon arrival. You can also dictate any personal message you'd like to go along with the gift certificate..

It's very simple to do and anyone who answers the phone can help you.

If you want another great option for a gift certificate, try Savant - it's a very short drive from the Bucaneer and is absolutely gorgeous - we've stayed at condos at Coakley Bay (also a great place to stay) and the food at Savant is our favorite on (or off) the island - enjoy!

This girl is warped! She has no nieces, just a shipload of grandkids. She works too hard and is probably suffering from some kind of woman's curse. Pay no attention to what she says unless Sandcrab or Joanne approve. She should be going to St Croix in mid-March...too get off my poop list.

Please!! This from a man who sent us a picture of himself snorkeling naked in the snow!! You need to get down to the Caribbean sooner than March, Sandcrab! Guess we won't get off that poop list, we can't make it sooner than May-- and are counting the days already.

Paula and Kerry

PS-- Just a warning-- I'm keeping that picture just in case any more posts attacking my good character show up here! I'm sure the people on this board would be very interested in seeing it! 🙂

I'm with Sandcrab on this one, and Paula doesn't have any incriminating pictures of me!!!

Sandcrab - USAirways is making me NUTZ - I still haven't finalized my dates, but we'll definitely overlap.

Et tu, Joanne?! Hey, I'd be down there in March if I could work it out!! Ol' Sandcrab is staying suspiciously quiet after I mentioned the picture, isn't he? Hee hee!

Girls,

Sandcrab is a very brave pirate but he knows when to back out of a potential spat between two beautiful, strong willed, women of the islands.

P.S. I'm not worried about the snow snorkeling pics. I would have been worried if I would have sent the ones of me doing the "backfloat" in the snow!!! Ha, ha!

My eyes, my eyes!!!!!!!

Seriously - I have finally finished with the *(&(*#&$ at US Scareways (sorry - they're pretty much the only option from upstate NY) and I HAVE MY DATES! My fellow Blister Sister (we have t-shirts) and I will arrive March 14 and depart March 21 - YOU'VE BEEN WARNED!

JoJo,

Glad to see that "Scareways" is finally treating you right.. You'll have to bring me and ma a t-shirt. Will pay but of course will have to see them modeled "wet" first.

Where's Paula now after her little bit of Texas bluster?

Sandcrab---The thought of a picture out there somewhere of you ''backfloating in the snow'' (sunny side up?) has made me throw in the towel! I'm waiting to read Joanne's scathing response to your wet t shirt request! ha ha

Paula - did you say "throw in the towel" or "throw HIM the towel"?

US Scareway hardly treated us well (actually hung up on my travel agent - I had to bring him in because they were so reluctant to provide information). After forcing us to travel mid-week (and I attempted to book last APRIL!) I'm going to have to arm-wrestle them for the $200 they took to re-deposit miles they never should have taken in the first place. Trust me, if I had other options I'd exercise them - praying that they don't acquire Delta!

And about those wet t-shirts - since the only liquid I go near on STX is rum, it's highly unlikely that I would waste it in such a fashion!!!

I would be flattered to have a towel thrown at me but wife says a wash cloth would be more than adequate!

Temp here tonight supposed to be minus eight. By Saturday, daytime high of minus 11 and nightime low of about minus 22. That's without figuring any windchill and it sounds like it could be windy. Looks like no "wet" t-shirts around here either. I guess I'll just have to be satisfied with the normal "Blister Sister" girls gone wild during the Paddies Day parade...

Okay, but keep in mind that WE are not the ones who chased a float down the street to get a picture of the guy in the green thong!

43 days and counting!!!!!!!!!!!
