Has anyone went on the "Bob" tour (The Underwater Breathing Observation Bubble)? Just curious how much it costs? Something we should do? Is it something a person can book once they arrive on the island?
Sorry I am not able to help with your questions. I just wanted to voice my relief that this was a question about Breathing Observation Bubble and not about traveling with a different kind of B.O.B.
sorry, guess I don't understand what you are saying......
Went out on the excursion a couple years ago with some friends that were visiting. It was fun, different. You ride out on the boat to Buck Island (off of St. Thomas) and are split into small groups. One small group at a time goes out on the scooters, while the others snorkel or hang out on the boat. The actual time on the scooters, don't quite remember, but was maybe around 15-20 minutes. Interesting feeling being in the scooter underwater. If you are claustrophobic you'd likely freak out a bit or a lot, depending on how phobic you actually are.
Here is their website www.bossusvi.com. The site gives information on booking.

Anyone have a rought idea on the price range?
They sent me an email and this is what they told me: Our tour is a 3-3.5 hour tour, you are in the scooter for about 30 minutes plus you have time to snorkel. We do provide you with snorkel equipment. The cost is $100/person.
