Hi folks,

We will soon be in St. Thomas, staying at Frenchman's Reef. I recently came across some photos which seem to show a much smaller beach than what I remember from the last time we were there (about 4 years ago). Has the beach washed away somewhat?

thanks!

Hi Annie,

Was there a couple months back. While there was a little area on the far left (when facing the water) that had some sand erosion close to the tree line the beach itself looked like it usually does. Perhaps the photo you saw was taken from mid-beach or from an angle that made it look smaller. We have a few photos of Morningstar in the beach guide, check those out at: Morningstar Beach.

Actually, the photo that I saw showed wooden steps which normally lead to the beach, but in this photo, they just jutted out over water! This was in front of CoCo Joe's. But, if you were just there, and saw nothing out of place, then I am happy ; ) Thank you!
