Trying to do all my reasearch before asking for the millionth time but 🙂

Couple of questions... I don't see info on the New Horizons website about the Baths trip. Is that the wrong place for a Baths tour - perhaps I am getting myself confused.

Also, would you say you had to be very fit to do the Baths. Would it be better to explore on your own if you felt you couldn't keep up with a group?

Thanks ..

As I read past posts I'm keeping a STT/STJ word pad for tips that I read 🙂

Try using visitbreakaway.com for the baths trip at new horizons we did it this past winter and saw people of all ages. The only thing that may hold anyone back is if you can not swim or snorkle to the island as they tie up just off of the beach.

Thank you. My boyfriend is not a great swimmer and probably would not be willing to do this with a group.
We may be better off taking the ferry and doing our own exploration.

If you use Breakaway or NH11 the crew will help you get in from the boat. They have noodles, kick boards and the crew would even swim
you in. Not to fear. They are a great company and they really care that you have a good time.

Try it, you will not be disappointed.

Mary Beth,

Here's the web site for the Baths trip. We're booking it ourselves because it goes to the places we want to go most.

http://newhorizonscharters.com/

You don't have to be fit to do the baths. The most strenuous it gets is equivalent to climbing a long flight of stairs. Not an enormous flight of stairs, but a long flight!

My wife and I did this same trip for the second time just last month. We loved the trip and have been very pleased with the New Horizons group. Don't be afraid of this swim into the beach, its short and the boat and staff have plenty of kick-boards and life jackets to make the swim easy for anyone. The hike at the baths is mild and goes at your own pace, no ones really in a hurry there, just trying to absorb the sights. Don't miss out; it's a trip worth taking!!

I agree with the above. We went on the New horizons II a couple of weeks ago and had a great time. The crew was great (John,Lauren,Lindsey). They do go to the Baths along with a few more islands. They stop to eat at Pussers=the ribs were great.
You don't have to be in good shape to go through the Baths, and someone from the crew can hawl you in, while you hold on to a board (if you can't swim). I high recommend taking this trip.

Thanks .. just wondering also what's required in and out of the boat? He can't swim and I have a bad back! Aren't WE quite the couple! I'm picturing a ladder or something like that. Not sure the old back can handle it if I have to hoist myself from the water!

I can picture it now .. one .. two .. snap! 🙂
