So I've seen a picture of the Baths, why do they call it that?
Is there an interesting story behind the name?

We are going to St. Thomas for a week in just 2 more days and are planning a side trip to the baths so I've been doing my homework! I found 2 excellent websites on the baths. The first gives you the history, names of the rock formations and a map. The second is someone's trip pictures. After seeing them, I felt like I had already been there. Looks awesome. Here are the sites:

www.thebathsbvi.com/map
islesea.com/virgingorda/baths.htm

FYI - I found these on the cruisecritic.com message board. A good supplemental to this one.

At Red Hook you'll find a charter boat named the Stormy Petrel, these folks a wonderful. My wife and I went with them to the Baths, and the Indians, the captain and mate were great people and very knowledgable and made the trip more than worth it.
