I know we are all in the same boat (most of us) but paying taxes really puts a hurt on the VI budget 🙁
Yeah, we always owe since my husband is self employed, but we owe less than we normally do. LOL So we're buying new living room furniture. We'll make it next year though!
I hate the Altermative Minimum Tax!!!!! It stole my vacation fund!

Boy do i miss it
We try to put a little bit away each month (kinda like a car payment) as a 'vacation' fund so when the time comes it doesn't seem too hard on the pocket as most of the money is already there.
Last year I rang up about 12 grand in medical bills, which has parlayed into a stupendous refund for this year, which will pay for our next trip next April. (see the post on do you tan before you go from a few weeks ago)
