Has anyone stayed at either of these villas. I'm planning a trip in June with 3 other ladies. Any other suggestions would be great. We are all middle aged and really need ac.

I've stayed in both Blue Tang and Terrahawk, and they are both great villas that are well maintained. Terrahawk is all about the location because it's very near Northshore beaches (you can walk down the steep driveway to Gibney). Terrahawk has a smaller deck and there's nothing really to see at night but the view in the morning is great. We weren't really inclined to spend much time there and ate dinner out every night. Blue Tang is a little bigger and has great decks with wonderful views for sitting out day and night. Blue Tang is more of a haul to the beach (15-20 minutes). Blue Tang was a little more homey. Both have very steep driveways. Choose Terrahawk for the location, otherwise, Blue Tang wins for the house if you want to spend a lot of time hanging out at the villa.

Also, if you and your friends are on different schedules or some like the beach more than others, the beach bums can walk down to the beach from Terrahawk while they wait on the slow pokes to get moving. At Blue Tang the beach bums may find themselves waiting on the slow ones every day as you'll be totally reliant on your car to go to the beach. I just returned from an all girls trip to VG and we rented a house on the beach was wonderful because everyone could hit the beach at their convenience.

I agree with your point of the convienience of being on the beach. I have been to STJ many times with my family, but never had to do the driving. I figured the drive to Terrahawk would be pretty simple. Just how steep is the driveway and is there room to turn around.? Thanks for all the great advice.
