I'm baaaackkkk with more questions. 🙂

I think we have decided we really want to stay at Caneel Bay. Does anyone know how to get a better deal than what the resort is offering? We are going in July 2008, and I love to plan, plan, plan. It will really bother me to wait until April/May to try to get a good deal. Is there anything I can try now? Thanks, as always, for your help!

If you are stuck on Caneel then your planning is over. That's the nice part about Caneel but you pay the price for that convenience and service. They don't deal because they don't need to, especially when European travelers consider anything US based an absolute steal given the weaker dollar.
If I do have one suggestion, do not get the full meal (American) plan. That is one way to save $$.

Try a virtuoso travel site/agent. They have their own specials that sometimes include percs that Rosewood doesn't offer - eg. room upgrades, included b'fasts or vouchers for some meals, sometimes an activity.

www.cheapcaribbean.com. You'll get all sorts of perks like a savings card for 10% back on anything spent while on vacation plus discounts on resort services.

Well ONE thing in your favor is that you're coming at the right time of the year for a good deal. Unfortunately, you will NOT get a good deal at Caneel Bay. That's where people like Brad Pitt stay...............ALOT.................so..............................

Depending on what you wanna spend, my suggestion to you is to check into renting a small private villa. That time of year you can get pretty good deals.

Good Luck
