Hi, I'm sitting here budgetting for our Nov trip to STJ and wondered if anyone knows how much the taxis should cost from the STT airport to the Charlotte Amalia ferry. There'll be just me and hubbie and minimal baggage. How long of a trip is it to the ferry from the airport? Any speciial taxi service to recommend? In the past we took the van/taxi to Red Hook but want to maximize our water time this trip. Thanks guys and gals! Only 15.5 weeks to go!
Choose the St. Thomas menu at the top of the page and hit "Taxi Rates" link... there ya go!
Taxi rates are government regulated here. Due to higher fuel costs, there's currently a surcharge added; it's $2 per passenger.

Thanks, I took a look at it- but where exactly does the ferry leave from? I saw the rate list to various places but didn't know what the actual "place" is that the ferry leaves from. IN the past, we've always just got in a van and went to Red Hook so we never needed to learn about the rest of STT.
Right on the waterfront at the Edward Wilmoth Blyden IV Marine Terminal. The taxi driver will know where to go. He will also charge you $1 per bag, on top of the regular fare.
The town ferry leaves from the apron on the waterfront, just before the vendor's plaza. The cost is 7 dollars. They are now charging 2 dollars per bag, not carry ons. Taxi fare would probably say town.
