That much? I thought I read it was a mile to Red Hook. Is it a mile or much further?

Thanks for the info. I just read it on Secret Harbour's website that it is 1 mile to Red Hook. I think I will be renting a car for sure if it cost that much for 1 mile to town.

Dawn: It is either $4 or $5 each.

Secret Harbour uses a specific taxi company, and I haven't compared their fares to the usual taxi fares. They DO offer nicer vehicles - usually vans rather than the open 'truck' style. One way, to my recollection is $5. There is a copy at the front desk at SH of all the rates (one of these days I will remember to bring the darn thing HOME!)

Renting a car is fine..but you'll have a hard time finding a place to park in Red Hook..most days cars are parked almost to sapphire.
And the pay parking by the school is totally filled. Just catch a 2.00 taxi (open air).
