I will be at Sapphire Resort for a month starting Aug 9th. How is the service for T-Mobile in the area? I have been getting conflicting reports from T-Mobile.
Also, what is the best mode of transportation from the airport to Sapphire Beach?
During the month I am researching moving to the USVI. I would appreciate any info you might pass along to help me in my search.
Richard

Can't help with T-Mobile but haven't heard of anyone here using it. AT&T followed by Sprint are the main carriers here.

Airport transportation is simple. Just exit the terminal and the taxi dispatcher will be right there and will put you in the first taxi headed to the East end. Fare will be $15 if you're traveling solo, $11 if with another or more.

For information on moving/living here, go to this site's moving center (link above). You'll find a ton of information in the drop-down menus top of the page and can visit the forum for answers to any other questions you may have. Good luck.

Hi Richard, welcome to the message board.

Sapphire is a nice spot to stay for a month.

T-mobile isn't a provider in the USVI. Your T-mobile might roam here on one of the other major carriers (ATT or Sprint). Depending on your plan roaming fees would likely apply to the calls... sometimes the texts are free but that is also dependent on your plan.

Transportation: If you aren't renting a car while here, you've chosen a good spot to stay. There is a bus stop right along the main road just at Sapphire's entrance. It can be used to get around to main areas of the island. Wouldn't necessarily recommend it for your arrival transportation, taking a taxi would be easier; but once you get your bearings of the island and routes the bus/dollar rides will be useful.
