Going to be in STJ in a week - no swimsuits available in South Dakota at this time of year! We have a 2 hour layover in Miami - anything there? places to look on STT or STJ? any variety? - I'm not 17 anymore! We get to STT about 4 PM. Would my best bet be there, except with the ferry changes I don't want to get to STJ too late. Thanks.

Hey Tree....Wisconsin is just like South Dakota....but I've still seen some suits in the stores....not much...but real cheap.
Otherwise....try online...like Penney's.
No need to worry....St. Thomas has all kinds of suits! It might be funner to get one there anyways....then it will always remind you of your vacation! I still have my sundress from last year in St. Thomas that I've brought with me to Hawaii even!
Have a GREAT time!!

There are lots of options for swimsuits on line. Lands end puts many of their suits on sale in the fall and they have suits for many different sizes and shapes, they mail quick too.

I usually find at least one bathing suit when I shop in St. John every year. (I'm not 17 anymore either.) I'm usually there in May so I don't know what you'll find this time of year.

Maybe some locals can chime in with info.

Hey! As long as I can find something to try on, I'd rather get it there. I am swamped with work until the day we go, plus I only spend my computer time looking at this board! Afraid it might not get here either. Thanks

Thanks. I'm afraid I might not get it in time, plus I would like to try them on. Never know how they will fit!

Check out the resorts on STJ. There's a nice line of suits at Caneel and also at the Westin (Bouganvilla).

There are plenty of places here in the islands to get swimmsuits. Places like K-Mart, Waterworld, Magens Beach Boutique, Asfour, most dive shops, etc. You won't have any trouble.

Great! Thanks for you help. Are those stores close to airport or ferry to STJ?

Asfour is right downtown on the waterfront (at the western end of the shopping area). I happen to know that because last year, while there on a 10 night cruise, we had to buy an extra suitcase to put all of our "acquisitions" in. 🙂

Which ferry are you taking? Red Hook or Charlotte Amalie?
