Hello,

I was out last night and a friend of mine said to take along swim shoes so you don't get cut on the coral while snorkling . I know we shouldn't touch the coral as it is fragil, but don't want and actcidental cut on the coral while swiming? Any thoughts on this?

If you are snorkeling, you will be wearing fins on your feet. PLEASE do not stand while you are snorkeling!. If you must stand up, look around for a sandy area. If you are thinking of just playing around in the surf zone, some people wear water shoes to protect from the urchins that live in shoally areas. You can usually see the bottom, so just be careful where you put your tootsies.;)
