Hi,

Has anyone surfed St Thomas? I hear Hull Bay has decent reef breaks but would like to hear from someone who has experienced it...

Also, can anyone recommend a place to rent a surfboard?

Thanks,
Ed

Hi there Ed,
I am not a surfer, but since you haven't had any replies, i thought I would try to help a little! 🙂
Hull Bay is a popular spot and I think, tho I am not 100% sure, that Homer has surf boards down there, How much? I can't tell ya! Another spot is Sorgenfri, I am spelling it wrong, but o'well! This is also on the North side and off Rt 33- Crown Mtn. Rd. There is a sign at the top of the hill. Haven't been down there in a very long time, but am guessing that you would need 4wd to get to the bottom. You could Hook up with a local on Hull Bay and maybe they can hook you up to Sorgenfri! Hope you have good luck! Have to be honest, I am looking for the days that the waves aren't up, like to go out on the boat if I can get the chance! Hey, make sure you don't go out by yourself! 🙂

I might as well chime in a bit.

No need for four wheel drive as long as the roads are dry.

The swells/waves are the best in the winter months.
