We're arriving 2:30pm on Sunday, February 5th with a party of 5. One minor (son 17 years old). Any suggestions on finding a Super Bowl Sunday place to watch the game? We were originally planning dinner at The Greenhouse. I'm afraid that the football game will make this place crazy. Of course, we can stay at our hotel for the first half, but that's only half the fun! Any thoughts?
Thanks!

Where are you staying....

Perhaps consider Red Hood- IMO they places are a bit more mellow and you have a wide variety of places to choose to watch the game all within walking distance.

We're at the Marriott. We do have a rental car, and won't be doing much "partying", so driving to Red Hook might work. Mostly was looking for a place where my 17 year old can come with us to watch.

We are from the west coast and spend winters in the Virgin islands.

The first time we tried to watch the super bowl, we were sound asleep in front of the tv as the clock ticked on to 2AM.(four hour time difference) Too late for us. If you are an east coaster you are probably use to too late tv watching and football games that go on and on.

have fun

And now that SEATTLE is definitely playing in the Super Bowl for the first time ever, it will be a game worth watching! :-}

Game starts early this year I understand. The best place for you would be Shipwreck Tavern. Just a few minutes from the Marriott. Plenty of TVs as well as a few big sceens. Just renovated it's absolutely beautiful!

Thanks for all of the advice! We're only 10 days away! Reserved the airline tickets last April - so we've been counting down nearly a year!

Shipwreck would be closer - but as with Caribbean Saloon in Red Hook I'm sure they will be having superbowl dedicated parties.

Another option - Iggies is trying to BECOME a sports bar in addition to a beach bar (I know, sucks don't it?) but they also have big screen TVs brought in in addition to the TVs already hanging all around the restaurant. There is a volleyball court and basket ball court for the 17yo if he's not interested in the game. Iggies is out ON the beach at Bolongo Bay, and is just about as far from the Marriott as Shipwreck is. It wont get as loud and obnoxious as Caribbean or Shipwreck CAN get (because they're enclosed) and is a 'family' resort...They will probbly even have a Superbowl Buffet as well.

Happy hunting!
