Hello Darrin,

Sure you can buy alcohol on Sundays in the USVI. For the Superbowl question I'd need to know which island :-).

There is only one day in the year that I can think of that has no alcohol sales. I've also never seen a time restriction throughout the day. Like, in Michigan, they can't sell after 2 a.m....here, it doesn't matter.

If you are going to be on STT, there are loads of places that have big parties.

Skinny Legs on St John is owned by a man from MA and the place is big on Patriots and Red Sox. I tell you this cuz the Pats are lookin' pretty darn good and they just might be on board for the Super Bowl.

Skinny Legs is a great sports bar as long as you don't order food. Apparently, there are a lot of flies that visit if you have a meal. If you're drinkin, they leave you alone. My father-in-law, hubby and bro-in-law looked for a different place on St John for footbal watching and they really couldn't find another good sports bar.

Have fun and go Pats!

I guess that we all have had different experiences at Skinny's. I'm there quite often because we have a boat in Coral Bay. I have never had a problem with flies there and we've been there every season of the year. Now you might have a problem after a heavy rainy season but this is the unusual. Actually, I rarely eat meat but save up for a hot dog at Skinny's when ever I go. People rave about the hamburgers. The place is usually crowded during and off season-that's how popular it is. I've rubbed elbows with many outstanding visitors there including a leading politician from MA. They bring out a large TV for Super Bowl and other big sports events and usually have two or three TVs going at one time. It will be crowded and noisy. The above poster is right Pats and Red Sox prevail.

I didn't mean to sound soooooo negative about Skinny Legs. It is quite popular! I just wanted to make the original poster aware.

My husbands family has been going to St John for several years and they always watch the Pats games at Skinny Legs and the flies are the only complaint. The burger reputation was how they keep experiencing the fly problem, they can't resist ordering a burger!
