I would like to know what the weather would be like on St. Croix in July. Is the humidity so high it is unbearable? Are there always cool breezes? I do not do well in extremely hot, high humidity climates and I wonder if a trip to St. Croix in July would be too miserable for me.

Ever been to south florida in the summer? It's not as bad as that, september is really hot, hence the hurricanes.

A trip to STX in the summer will not be very different from one in the winter. The weather does not vary more than 10 degrees throughout the year and humidity remains constant. Breezes are always present but you should verify the location you are staying actually gets a breeze, otherwise you will want air conditioning.
If you are from AZ, USVI might be difficult from humidity angle but certainly not intolerable.
