I'm starting to plan for a trip to STX next fall (I like the off season). I just stayed on STT and visited STJ with the wife and we loved it, but now it's time for my wife to see STX. I stopped in STX a few years back on a cruise and loved it, but my wife has never been there. I actually have a good friend who lives on STX and has offered a room in his house for us, but I really don't want to intrude on his home for a week or so, so what are some affordable recommendations for beach hotels there? I'm going on a fact finding mission for possible relocation and job hunting so I don't need a big 5 star resort, just a nice (decent) place to stay that's hopefully on the water. Thanks! 🙂

Since you are going in the "low" season you will be able to get some good deals. Be sure and ask, and compare. You might try the Divi Carina (with a casino), or Carambola ( though they need some remodeling) or the Buccaneer (usually expensive).

There are also many condo's that will have even lower prices. ($500/600 per week)
We love Villa Madeleine, but it is not on the beach and is usually more expensive.

No crowds and great weather (if no storm comes in) and the BEST prices all year.

Have your friend check out your choice...

Thanks a bunch! 🙂

*will have to remember "low" season rather than "off" season* 😉
