2 questions on STT Taxis:

1) If I were to take a taxi to Mountain Top, not a tour, just the taxi ride, and then wanted to explore it at my own pace and drink a bunch of those banana drinks, are there usually other taxis up there that will take me back to my hotel? Or do I need to tell the taxi that took me up there to wait for me???

2) If there are just 2 people and you wanted to do a "custom tour", does anyone know approximately what the cost would be for say 2 hours?? Again, just 2 people. Oh, and would they do something like that from the airport??? I do not want to drive on STT and I know some of the tours look fun, but I would rather skip some of the things on the tours so I was wondering how expensive it would be for 2 people to just walk up to a taxi and say "we want you for 2 hours and want to go here then there"??? And where would be the best spot to approach the taxi for this type of request? Downtown CA? Can I do it at the airport?? Money is not really an issue, as long as it is not THOUSANDS of dollars, but I was just looking for convenience. Um, I always write to much on here and make things confusing......... hee hee hee, I guess I'm just very excited about coming! I guess I was just wondering how flexible the taxis are with driving just 2 people around to a few different spots over a 2 hour span and approximately what the cost would be and if it matters where you flag them down from 🙂

And again, I know I could just rent a car and do this myself for much cheaper, but I am going to do that on STX. The STT trip is about having someone take us around and have about 3 of those banana daiquiris, 4 bushwackers, and then a couple of local beers in between! No worries, I'm a fun person 🙂 but I think we would be better off with a taxi driving us around through the mountains considering we are coming from the flat midwest!
