Sent this email to another board member who was concerned about this property so, for convenience sake, posting as trip report

Hi,
sorry it's taken so long to get back to you, still trying to play catch up from being out of town. I had absolutely no problems with the room, but not sure which room you're staying in. We stayed in the studio with the full kitchen. very spacious, clean (and I'm a neat freak), lots and lots of utensils, plenty of towels (even beach towels), Carmen the housekeeper was always asking what she could do for us.
will enclose pictures for reference.
also, don't know if you are renting a car, we didn't. driving a little tricky on the island. we used Scotland to pick us up from the airport but used the open air taxis for the rest of the trip. if you walk down to the entrance of the complex and wait for a few minutes (never more than 10) an open air taxi (they call them safari taxis) will stop if you wave at them. should cost no more than a dollar per person. However, they only go in one direction (clockwise) so if you go into Redhook, which I highly suggest -very quaint little town and more upscale than what you see on the way in from the airport, get back on the safari and ride the loop back to the condo. for reference, the locals know the condos as pineapple village. there is a market in Redhook call Marina Marketplace-somewhat expensive but that is the case all over the island.

also, you must take the ferry over to St. John, wonderful. I would also suggest not going to Trunk Bay as it is very touristy but rather go to the next beach down called Cinnamon Bay, breathtaking!!! would have loved to have stayed on the island overnight, maybe next time. stay for the afternoon, most cabana bars have happy hour, beer for a buck.

also, went to Coki beach for a day (short walk over the left hill) , very nice water but lots of college kids.
back on STT, try agave terrace for dinner, view unbelievable. fungi's right off the beach at the condo very atmospheric for cocktails, dinner-maybe depending on what you like.

Being the horse person that I am, had to snap a shot of these cool donkeys (mom and babe)
