Hey everyone!
All of a sudden...a week before we leave...I have all these last minute questions!~ haha..its like im sord of freaking out. Anyhow...I usually stay on STJ and this time we are staying on STT and I've been to Duffys and i love it...but besides that, where are some laid back beachy good places for dinner? Not too dressy or expensive...with good food? We like to have fun and relax durin dinner...any good suggestions? We are staying near Red Hook.

ALso...2 years ago when i went we rented jet skis at Coki...and it was soooo beautiful. Soo much fun! I was wondering what other places rents Jetskis in STT and for about how much? Is there a better place to rent? Thanks again 🙂

~Lindsey

FYI Duffy's changed owners/names and became Lizards Landing, and then it went completely downhill for many reasons. The last I heard it was closed down completely. In Red Hook, you have a lot of choices -- Molly Malones, Sopchoppys (great pizza - - I think this is also renamed) are both (relatively) inexpensive and casual. Also like the Greenhouse in downtown Charlotte Amalie.

As for jetskis, I know there is a watersports rental for parasailing and jet skis at the Wyndham. I did the jet ski and darn near broke a rib though - - very choppy water! Coki might still be your best bet.

Yep I was talking about the STT one. I think the STJ one closed way before that one (like more than a year ago?). The STT location is a fairly recent closure. Oh well. Plenty of other great restaurants! Oh I forgot to tell you about the Wednesday night carnival/buffet on the beach at Bolongo Bay. Haven't been myself, but I hear it's a great time! Have fun!

Sapphire has jet ski rentals at the marina. There are a couple of good places at the Elisyan. One is pricy but the other is a good burger kind of place. The pricy one has GREAT food (or it was in Oct).

WHAT??? When did Duffys on STT close...I just read a trip report and Duffys was still open. At the Elysian you have Bonnies by the Sea..good food right on the beach, Roberts is also at the Elysian...great place for dinner/lunch/drinks, also on the beach. Stop in for Happy Hour and let Page make you one of his drinks 🙂 mmmm.
A few other inexpensive suggestions - Iggys at Bolongo Bay, Fungis, Blue Moon, Hook, Line & Sinker, Tickles, Bottoms Up, Hull Bay Hide Away....just to name a few.

Have fun!!!!

I am wondering what all those people were doing at Duffy's tonight when I was in Red Hook?? How do these rumors get started?

To the question about jet skis- there is no GOOD place to rent them, unless it is in Florida.. (;))

Thank you On Island Time. I could not think of the names of those places for anything! I feel better now. I had two very good meals at Roberts last time. One was a burger to die for! I'm more of a chicken gal so for me to say a burger was great you know it 's good.

We enjoyed Molly Malones for island atmosphere & sports on TV 🙂 Iggies off the menu was good & happy hour drinks reasonable. Iggies being on the beach and walking distance a plus for us on our last trip. I know some people on this forum didn't like their "all you can eat food". Don't be in a rush either!

The "other forum" (sorry) reported that it was closed. I guess that was incorrect! Glad to hear it's still open, I'd love to go there for a drink (or 5) when we go in late June!! Thanks for the correction all!
