I normally write a short novel but the real world has been a little busy and I just haven't had the time...so here are the highlights

Villa- Second Wind in Reef Bay.

We loved this house. Perfect for our group of 5 with 2 very private bedrooms, great view, Pool, hot tub, and large decks. We really loved this house and would not hesitate to book it again. I will post some pics soon, but please feel free to ask questions

Beaches- The weather was HOT HOT HOT and hazy so we did not have amazing beach days but still enjoyed them. My favorite, as always, is Gibney. We got there before 9 and got the first parking space and enjoyed every second.

Dining- I ate Mahi at every meal that we ate out.
My favorites, in order

Zozo's
Banana Deck
Shipwreck Landing
Sun Dog
Fish Trap
We got sandwiches one day from Deli Grotto and a wrap from Starfish for the beach.
The rest of our meals we ate at the villa or packed a lunch for the beach.

Shopping-
We buy a ton of stuff at STJ spice every year, you just can not go wrong there. Our newbie wanted a hook bracelet and after tons of searching, we found the best deal and best quality at Coral Bay jewelers in Cruz Bay Park.

BVI Trip- Palm Tree Charters
I can not say enough about how great our day was. Capt John is so much fun and such a great captain. We had an amazing snorkle at the Indians and then spent the rest of the day doing what we do best...Eating and Drinking.

You really must try Zozo's if you are looking for a fine dining meal.

Disclaimer: The owner is a good friend

We sat at the bar at 5:30 to watch the sunset, you must make a reservation for the bar for dinner. You can not just walk up and sit at the bar.
We all shared the brushetta of the night which was tenderloin with some other insane goodness that i don't recall.
I had the escargot appetizer special, another person in our party had calamari and someone else had littlenecks. They were all wonderful.
Entrees- I had the Mahi which was perfectly good on a bed of arugla with goat cheese. My husband had the tenderloin. One person in the party had lobster and another shrimp- i did not taste either. The 5th had the grouper special which was delicous and was served over saffron risotto, I believe.
Desserts- We shared 4 and they were all delicous. I am trying to remember them all but the Tiramisu and the blueberry bread pudding stand out.

There were 5 of us and only one had not been there before. She is not one that enjoys dining out and does not like spending money to eat out and she declared it one of the best meals she has ever had and worth every penny.

great trip report, glad you all had a good time. i like the fact that you mixed up your dining options, and that you were able to cook at your villa. it's so relaxing to prepare and enjoy a meal together...

Loved your pics and comments about St. John. We will be staying at Second Wind villa next week and were glad to see your high praise for the villa. Can't wait to put my toes in the sand.
