Hello,

Just got back from our trip and it was great! I have documented our trip below, let me know if you have any questions.

Saturday 6/30

Flew Spirit Air from Myrtle Beach to FLL down to STT. The trip was rather uneventful, however, the airport at STT is CRAZY on a Saturday. There was something like 3 or 4 planes landing at once and the baggage claim area was a nuthouse, long with being really hot. If you can carry on your luggage, I would advise it, it would make this part easy. We took a cab from the airport to Redhook and then the ferry over. Fairly uneventful, just by this point in the day, we were already tired. Upon arriving at STJ, we walked to C&C Jeep rental and got our Jeep and then drove to the Gallows. We stayed in 6D. It was an upper ocean view, and it was worth every cent! The unit was clean, well kept and everyone at the Gallows were nice and helpful. We decided that evening to eat at Stone Terrace, a short walk from Gallows. The food was great! And the veiw over Cruz Bay was good also. I would highly reccomend this resturant. My now wife is a vegeterian and I was a little nervous about places that we could eat in STJ. I was wrong! Everywhere we went was able to cater to her.

Sunday 7/1

We ate at Chilly Billys this morning for Breakfast. It was alright, not what we had expected, and not as clean as we had pictured, but certainly a place to try out. Afterward we went to Trunk Bay for a beach day. Trunk is fun, get there early to get a parking spot. We stayed there all day and then came back to the Gallows, changed and went to dinner at La Tapa. This was another great dining experience. We ate over looking the street and the food was great! That evening we went to the Rum Hut and drank Moitios. Great place to go, 4 or 5 different flavors, and they are 5.50 each.

Monday 7/2

Woke up, ate breakfast in our condo (we would make daily trips to starfish market, best place for food to cook at home) and meet our wedding coordinator/pastor Mary from Island Style Weddings. She went over what we were going to do on our wedding (the next day) and made sure everything was going good. I would highly reccomend her to do your weddings! She was great. We then made the trip via the 915 CA ferry to downtown to go to the courthouse to pick up our paperwork for the marriage. Picking it up was a breeze, in and out in less then 15 minutes and we wondered around CA for awhile. At lunch at Cafe Aimica (mispelled?). This was a great little cafe and the drinks were great! Afterward, we took the ferry back and headed back to STJ. We went to the Dennis Bay beach (Go to Peace Hill, hike up the trail 20 yards, take the trail to the right for about .1 mile). This was a GREAT beach! We were the only ones there. The shore was a little rocky, but it was on a point were two bodys of water met, it was really nice. Dinner that night was at Azolre. It was awesome. High up on the hill overlooking Cruz Bay. The wait staf was very friendly and had great suggestions on wine.

Tuesday 7/3

Woke up, and at in the unit again. Then went to Hakenest Beach. We walked to the left and crawled over some rocks to Little Hawknest Beach. Well worth the trip! The entire day we were the only people on this beach! We could look over at the big beach and it would be packed. Ours was great! That afternoon, we went back, changed over to wedding clothes, and was picked up by Mary's driver. We went to Anneburg ruins to have the wedding. It was beautiful! I would highly reccomend this location as it provided for great pictures. That evening we went to Pardiso for dinner, another great dining experience!

Wednesday 7/4

Went down to check out the parade. Being from New Orleans, it really wasn't anything too crazy, but it was neat to see the culture down in the islands. That afternoon, since you CAN'T drive through Cruz Bay at all during the day, we headed to the south shore beaches and checked out some over there. Certainly not the National Park beauty, but it was nice in its own ways. We ate at Morgans Mango that evening, and once again, another great dinner. There frozen drinks were great.

Thursday 7/5

We had booked a dinghy rental through Low Key Watersports for the day back on Monday. DO NOT BOOK THROUGH LOW KEY WATERSPORTS! I REPEAT, DO NOT BOOK THROUGH LOW KEY WATERSPORTS. We went to the dock and the company claysipo had not received our booking and they were already booked up. Upon return to Low Key, all other places were booked up as well, so we were out of luck. In hindsight, I think next time I will book straight through the company that I want to go with, and certainly not through Low Key.

We made the best of the day, we went to Cinamon Bay for the morning and then to Waterlemon Key in the afternoon. It was well worth the hike! Great snorkeling! That night we ate at Marghrita Phils, it was good! Call for reservations, as they only have 7 tables and we got lucky walking in.

Friday 7/6

We checked out and took the ferry back to CA to eat lunch at Cafe Aimca before our flight. The flight back was much easier then the flight there. But, of course we did not want to leave.

Congratulations on your wedding! Thanks so much for the trip report. Sorry you had the dinghy reservation mix-up, but you did the right thing - spend the day in paradise and just go to another plan! Great job - hope you'll go back again!

Oh wow, having the wedding at Annaberg! Very cool! Most folks get married right on the beach. I love this idea of Annaberg! Please post pics when you can!! And congrats!

I'm a vegetarian too. It was much easier to find food that I could eat and would like that I thought. 🙂
