Flying out of Tortola after a stay in St. John. International flight leaves at 11:45am. First ferry from St. John to Tortola is 8:30am. Half hour boat time, half our customs, half hour drive on Tortola = Airport arrival at 10am. Is this feasible? Are ferries reliably on time? Is there a water taxi we could hire instead?
Thanks for input - Kim

That sounds doable, as the ferries run pretty regular.....and you could hire a water taxi, but the rates are outrageous...check the Yellow Pages at www.viphonebook.com.

I also think that you will be fine. The ferry schedule is regular and the times you have anticipated are accurate. Although I would adjust your times to say 1/2 hour boat ride, customs clearance and flagging a taxi will take 10-15 minutes and the ride to the airport will take 45 minutes. Customs for the ferry boats is fast.
