Hello Everyone - maybe a recent visitor like notahippie or someone on-island can comment on how things are going in Cruz Bay with respect to the slot Casino. We usually visit STJ twice a year, and the casino was on the verge of opening last visit. Just curious if there has been any impact, negative or otherwise. Thanks!
Don't even know it's there 🙂
My Mother In Law spent 20 mins or so in there during her visit last week and said it was nice (for 15 mins or so while it was raining 🙂 )

Where is it located on St. John? I just got back from the islands where I spent a day on St. John but I didn't notice a casino. I'm just curious as to where on St. John.
Cruz Bay shopping/dining area - right across from the Rum Bar
These vile video lottery terminal outlets are NOT casinos. They are supposed to be places for visitors to leave their money. Of course, instead, the people who can least afford it leave their money there. Either way, it is a heck of a way to treat people. There is only one casino in the USVI, and it is at the Divi on St Croix.
If I ever get an opinion on this, I'll let you all know! 😉
OK, when we say casino we should say it is the size of a Quicktrip/7 Eleven it's not a Vegas size casino 🙂

The Parrot Club, that's the name of the place, is in Wharfside Village in the spot where Larry's, the art gallery, and one other small spot, used to be. It is almost not even noticeable. It hasn't gotten a lot of business. They did do a nice job on the place, but it's not a big hot spot or anything. The biggest noticeable difference is that Larry's is not there any more. They move across the street and took all of it's business with it. It has A/C, and no smoking, so some people like to hang out in there just for that. It's a much less rowdy crowed compared to Larry's.
Thanks StJohnJulie for being helpful, and not curmudgeoningly debating the definition of a slot casino/video poker emporium/whatever.
