I realize it's summer and everyone is busy with life however I'm still having a MAJOR dilemma with a villa for next Feb. We have grown to a group of definately 6 maybe 8 adults, no children and we are looking for something the week of Feb 10-17th. We would love to be in the Coral Bay area. We always rent 4x4's, we want a private villa without neighbors, we'd like a pool and hot tub but will give up one or the other. We don't care about a/c, laundry and all the frills of normal life. We do like nice places and would like to spend around $2000.00 +/- per couple. It doesn't have to be beach front it can be up in the hills. Any suggestions? Any definates to check out?! I've been searching around, looking at different villa rental agents but we are coming up empty. ANY input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Jill!

Try Cinnamon Bay Estates. Lovely four bedroom. suitestjohn.com. Haven't rented the villa, but have spent parts of days there relaxing by the pool. Want to see some views. www.pbase.com/promoguy101 Go under the St John 2005 gallery.

Check this one out - It's fabulous. I have been inside this villa and it is exactly like the photo's but be warned it is up the road from he** (the one that is on utube 🙂 ) You need a 4wd for sure. Fabulous views, fabulous villa but not all bedrooms are equal but all equally beautiful.

Pia,

I think they are booked for the month of February. They are wanting to come during Valentines Day which will be hard to do. Renewing vows on the beach are we??? 😉

Jill, Have you checked all the villas on http://www.vrbo.com/vacation-rentals/caribbean/usvi-st-john for STJ? Check the availability first before you choose. There were some in Chocolate Hole that were available.

Jill,

There is a rental villa/house on Coral Bay called "Caribbean Cove." Go to www.windspree.com/homes/caribbeancove and take a look at it. Definitely within your price range and sleeps 8, 3 BR, 2.5 baths. Not too high on the hill - 77 steps down to a private cove that is great for snorkeling. Drawback: no pool 🙁

Enjoy!

Jill,
Consider a beautiful, private, harbor view villa in St. Thomas perfect for 4 couples. Included in your rental is a full day sail to St. John. Be near everything golf, shopping, dining and yet apart in your own private, gated world. Southwind Villa has lush gardens and a 20 x 40 foot solar heated pool. Please view our web site at www.southwind.vi.

Jill, have your rented something for your Feb trip? If not, try Great Expectations located in Hart Bay. We are staying there Aug for seven days. We are located between Chocolate Bay and Hart Bay. Look up there web site by putting in Great Expectations St John VI. They offerer alot. We are excited. There will be nine of us.

My best advise is the contact several on-island agents. Give them your dates and what you are looking for and see what's available to choose from. I would try at LEAST 4 agents. So many villas book up as much as a year in advance so rather than get your heart set on a particular house, first find out what is available and go from there.

FYI - I would also ask if the pool is heated. During the winter months many pools are a bit chilly.
