My friend sent me some pictures from his trip to STJ from January and alot of the island seemed pretty brown and dried up from the lack of rain. Has the island "greened up" any from earlier in the year? It is not something I am going to cancel my trip over but there is just something about the STJ's normal lush green vegetation that is so comforting and familiar. I would hate to see it so brown and burnt out.

I don't know about STJ, but here on STX we are still short of rain. Things are certainly not as green as usual. And we still have a month or two of dry weather ahead.

Yep - still brown 🙁
No rain to speak of (except for last Tuesday) for a long, long, long, time.

I thought I heard it was a fairly rainy week all last week on one of the posts.
We'll be there next week....how bad is it?
It seemed pretty dry last March/April when we were there. Is it even worse than last year?

Last week was cooler (by STJ standards anyway 🙂 ) cloudy but only rainy day being on Tuesday and a few short showers (5 mins or less) a few nights - it's still brown probably the same as last year.
