*we are planning on vacationing in st. croix in June,we have been looking at several villas, all different locations, how do we decide on the location,as far as north, south etc.?We are really just coming to relax, and for the most part, snorkle right at the villa.thank you ,denise
Hello Denise,
If you mean you want a villa on the beach where you can snorkel I don't know if there are many villas on beaches, there are some hotels on beaches - several actually. Also its fun to hop to other beaches if you are interested.
The eastern shore has nice villas. So does the north shore toward the west end. Any names of places you are looking at.

We looked at the Waves at Cane Bay while were on St. Croix last fall. I thought it would be a great place to stay.
As you have been told, there are few options that include beach front and snorkeling. The East end of St Croix is the quieter, less congested area. (The area that I always stay)
The finest white sand beaches are near Fredreiksted, but that is in the western part of St Croix. The best diving/snorkeling is probably at Cane Bay, but that is on the north/west shore. , If you are a serious diver that is the only place to stay. If you want nicer lodging and quieter surroundings than you want to be East of Christiansted. There are many very nice villas and condos in that area. The Buccaneer is a very nice hotel spread out and down to a gorgeous white sand beach (but a bit pricey). Check out some of the villa rental companies to find what is right for you. It is important to take the time to make a good choice. I would like something on or near Shoys Beach.
