Starfish, located in the Marketplace, prpbably has the best selection of all the stores in STJ. Dolphin is located on Centerline Rd. across the street from the Texaco station. It is closer to town. I think that they have an excellent selection of most things. Starfish has the best selection of meats. Starfish is a little farther from town but not that far. I shop in both of these stores and sometimes find Dolphin to be a little less expensive but not always. If you are staying in the Coral Bay area, Love City Market is small but has a surprisingly good amount of items, however, it does not have meats and the produce is not reliable. But they have everything else. I even found that paper towels there were less expensive than Starfish. You should not have any problem getting what you want. Would suggest that if you plan to cook and eat in that you bring any spices that you want with you. I always do this and then bring them home rather than leave them on our boat. Otherwise I bring very little from home.

I found Starfish to be more similar to at typical grocery store in the states - they have a lot of name brands, a produce section, deli, fozen foods, etc. It is smaller than the stores we are used to in the states, but you can get most of the things you need, you just don't have the selection you would find in a larger store.

Dolphin seems to carry more gourmet items. I found it to be an interesting place to look for island specialties, spices, etc. It is a fun place to browse. The deli in Dolphin is particularly good. Both stores are pricier than state-side grocery stores.

Bottom line - I'd go to Starfish for basic staples and Dolphin for for gourmet items or to look for something different or interesting.
