The worlds greatest Quelbe band!
A documentary on the band will air tonight 10-24-03 on TV2 at 9pm.
TV2 is a local station, so you have to live here and have Innovative cable to see it, but I encourage all the locals to check it out. Quelbe is the true folk music of the Virgin Islands and nobody can do it like Stanley and the Ten Sleepless Knights.
Set your VCR for channel 2 at 9 o'clock tonight for a fun historical view of a traditional music that may not be around much longer.

I love Satnley and the Ten Sleepless Knights! I heard the band for the first time on the radio my first visit to St. Thomas a few years ago just before Christmas and the next year I was able to see them play during a festival in Havensight. I purchased a few of the Holiday Cd's.
It is such wonderful music. There is a TV commercial that is aired to promote travel to the USVI's and I believe their music is in the background. Every time I hear it it brings me back to the island!
