Hi! I wish I had found this message board sooner. We are leaving for St. Thomas tomorrow morning. We have never been to the VI before. We are bringing a 2 year old with us. Can anyone recommend good things to do with a toddler? He loves the beach and the pool, are there good beaches for kids? He also loves boats and dolphins so we are hoping we can find a dolphin cruise to take him on! Thanks!

Magens is very child friendly. Take him to Coral World- he will love the interactive exhibits, the stingray feeding, the sea lions, etc. Take him on a day sail. People are saying great things about the butterfly farm at Havensight. There is a small waterpark on Lindbergh Beach, but I am not sure about the hours. Hope you have fun!

The last time I checked the water park at Lindbergh Bay, it was closed with no sign saying when it would open.
They want to do some dredging in the harbor and put some sand back in the bay, so the water park may be on hold until that's settled. At Emerald Beach by the Best Western you can rent paddle boats, so that might be fun.

I saw some toddlers having a ball the other day at Lindquist/Smith Bay Park, and it was windy with quite a few waves, but the kids ran right in.

If you take a right out of Point Pleasant and go down the Smith Bay Road, you'll find a little kid's park on the left, right past The Toad and Tart Pub, and next door to Smith Bay center which houses a storage unit operation and the Picasso coffee house. The locals keep it well maintained, it's very small, isn't waterside but has slides and seesaws, etc. - and who knows what interesting youngsters your little one might just meet there!
