it has been raining since we got here yesterday....and the forecast is for rain ALL WEEK!
today will be one inch of rain...

last night at dinner at secret harbour there was heavy heavy rain and lightning and water spouts out on the horizon....saw those cruise ships going out hope it was ok for them

BUT we are having a great time....my cousins got a terrific room with a great view so i am happy that at least they have that for the first time in the virgin islands

dinner was incredible at blue moon.....always excellent food!

today we will shop in town in the rain and maybe go to noche or agave...

cancelling our boat trip of course......

to be continued

Well, I am glad that you have such a philosophical attitude so far.

I think that things will "normalize" after Sunday... I checked the San Juan bureau of NOAA, and they show us going back to the "typical" 20% chance of showers during the day, with most of the serious rainfall confined to the night time hours.

http://www.srh.noaa.gov/data/forecasts/VIZ001.php?warnzone=viz001&warncounty=vic030

No matter what happens (who can really predict the weather?), I hope that you enjoy the remainder of your stay!!!

Hi, I am sooo sorry you are having bad weather...hopefully the sun will shine soon! My family and I are crusing on Carnival to St. Thomas next Monday, can you please tell me the best why to get over to ST. John. I am not sure were we are docking in St. Thomas and I am trying to figure out the best way and which ferry to take.
Any information would be greatly appreciated.
Alice

Good morning Alice
The quickest way is to take the ferry from Charlotte Amalie direct into Cruz Bay. It is a short taxi ride or longer walk from the cruise dock.

And the rain was VERY welcome here on STT! The island was beginning to brown and the plants really needed it, too. Already starting to green up. My cistern and swimming pool are LOVING it, too! Yaay!
