I just heard that the Caribbean International Film Festival is going to be held in St. Thomas this year from November 17-21, 2004. I went last year when it was in the Bahamas and had a fantastic time. I even saw a few celebs like Melvin Van Peebles, Pierce Brosnan, and Woody Harrelson!! If you're planning on heading over there, definitely check out this film festival!
Do you have a website for the festival or do you know any of the films that will be featured? Where is it being held?
Thanks for the heads up Sophia!
Carib, I found some info here:
I know this is an old thread but just came back from a meeting with the woman who is heading up this event. Sounds like it is going to be great fun and bring in a lot of people to the islands. She is looking for island volunteers to do every thing from selling tickets to assisting in showing the films. Volunteering will get you in to the film screening for free (she says between 45 - 50 new films of all types), the parties and all the fun. If you are interested in volunteering, visit the website http://www.caribbeaninternationalfilmfestival.com/main.html. For those of you in business, there will also be kiosks available at the host hotel, Holiday Inn. If you are interested, let me know. We are currently forming a planning committee for the festival.
Pamela.
