We are going to St.Thomas in July to stay with 2 other couples and also visit with family who lives there. We want to rent a nice villa with a pool and I have seen Sunset and Casa Bella. Has anyone seen these properties or have any other recomendations?

Hi Marcella.

Sunset has construction going on around it. I think there are at least two new villas being built adjacent to it. Sunset has the better location of the two, being on Peterborg.

Casa Bella wins for luxury. It's new and very well appointed - island Mahogany. IMO, the location is the only drawback....it is distant from the action. You may actually enjoy the distance. Another small drawback is the distance from the villa to the pool, via stairs. Without kids, it might not be an issue. With small children, I wouldn't want to tackle those stairs or be so far from napping toddlers/infants in the house while I am sunning by the pool.

Without construction at Sunset, it would be a tough call. The construction would make my decision - no to Sunset.
