Hi Lisa

Most cruise ships have "St.John" excursions ($$$) To save money and time you can take a taxi to the Chalotte Amalie ferry dock and for $7 you can get there a little quicker. The ferry schedules are at the top of this message board, and for an Iteniary see my response to Kasey's post (scroll down). For a beach I would suggest Cinnamon. The cruise tours usually go to Trunk or Hawksnest and it can get pretty crowded. There are facilities, snack bar etc. here. Be sure to allow yourself plenty of time to get back.

Hello Lisa,

You will take a taxi to the ferry (unless you are at anchorage and tendered into Charlotte Amalie, and plan to take the CA ferry as you will already be right there). So the taxi will drop you at the St. John Ferry dock/location you want to go to (there are two, Charlotte Amalie and Red Hook) and point you in the right direction once there.

There is a comparison of the two ferries under the Cruise Guide & Schedule section, the link is at the very top of this page.

Click on the St. Thomas Link at the top of this page and then choose Daysails from the drop down - it has a selection of day charters that sail over to St. John.
