Hi all!
I am going to be staying on STT this year and was wondering if there are recommendations of things to do. I'm familiar with JVD and STJ and will probably take day trips back to both of these but since I'm staying at the Marriott on STT, I think I should check that island out as well. Any suggestions are appreciated.

Thanks!

I don't know how to answer this.

Lets assume that you are a beach person. I would go to Sapphire, Smith Bay Park (Linquest) Sapphire Beach and then Megan's. Then I would go to Bolongo.

It would go to Mountain Top, stop at St. Thomas Dairies (Utter Delight) and then go to Red Hook for lunch. (Duffies, Caribbean Saloon or Molly's. I would do Shipwreck Tavern on Friday for their 1/2 price hamburger.

I would spend as little as possible time in town.

That is if you are a beach person.

You would need to rent a car to really see St Thomas at your leisure -- visiting Magens Beach - Lindqvist Beach - Udder Delight on the Magens Bay road or Duffy's in Red hook are all easier by car - taxis can get expensive if you are really getting out and about.
Downtown Charlotte Amalie is a beautiful architectural Danish town with much historical significance to be seen and enjoyed - try and do it on a day when there are few if any cruise ships visiting -- it is well worth seeing.

I would go to Water Island via the Water Island ferry at Crown Bay and take the short walk to Honeymoon Beach. You just might be able to have t all to yourself (for a while, anyway!)

I would go to Coral World and swim with the sea lions. There are very few places where you can do this, and it gets RAVE reviews.

I would go to Paradise Point on Wed evening for the sunset view and the live music. Then I'd head over to Bolongo/Iggie's for their Carnival night w/live music.

I'd do a sunset sail, and night snorkeling. I think Homer still offers it, but you shuold check.

One of my fave 1/2 day trips is the B.O.S.S. Underwater Adventure BOSS Underwater Motorscooter Adventure My ex-wife runs this biz and it's an absolute GR8 trip! NO diving experience necessary...you barely even have to know how to swim to do this...from 8 to 88, they take 'em all!

Renting a car or not to rent a car, that is the question.

If there are more than two of you the answer is yes. The taxi costs will go up pretty fast. If you are two then the issue is how much are you going to see and how often you go out at night for dinner. You can do Coki. town and sapphire beach using the safari. But as mentioned if you want to go to Mountain Top, Drakes Seat, Megan's, Paradise Point, Water Island, and my favorite Udder Delight then it will cost you. Also where are you staying? If you are not on a Safari route then it will cost you more. Also remember that you will pay about 30 for a couple from the airport to Sapphire, if that is where you are staying. So that is money in the bank for almost one days car rental.

Remember that you drive on the left. If that is a problem for you then use taxis.

Hope that helps.

It is Magens Bay - Magens is the family name - Megan is not.
