My freinds and I are planning to take a trip somewhere in the carribean, although we didn't decide on the destinatiom, we are leaning towards St. Thmoas. Before we make the final descision I was womdering how it accomodates for teens between the ages of 17-21. How the night life is? and which hotels would best accomidate guest that are out age, prefibly all-inclusive? If anyone has personal experinces I would appreciate any suggestions or advice on the matter. Oh yeah, we are planning to leave in early june or early july, how is weather around those months?

Thanks for your help. vlad

St. Thomas is the most happening in terms of bars and dancing. On St. Thomas you have Caribbean Shows and bars at resorts. There are many great restaurants. And there are fun local bars/dance places. Many of the restaurants and bars are in Charlotte Amalie, East End and French town. 18 is the legal drinking age.

June and July are good months in terms of great weather.

All inclusive resorts are nice however because there is so much to do and see in St. Thomas it is sometimes better to not go all inclusive - this gives you the opportunity to enjoy the other restaurants, beaches, nightlife without thinking that you paid extra for the ones at the resort you are at.

St. John is a fun day trip for adults, teens and children and is only 30 minutes away. Also if you are in the islands around July 4th or for 2 weeks before that date it is Carnival time in St. John - which will be great fun and a cultural activity that you guys can enjoy. So yes St. Thomas is suitable for teens. Also there are lots of water sports to partake in - parasailing, windsurfing, jet skis, boating, diving - and some of these may be of interest as well.

Hope this helps some with your planning.

My wife and I brought two of our children to St. Thomas last August. The oldest was a 16 yr old boy and the youngest was a 9 year old girl. They were both very busy and had a ball. We spent an entire day on St. John and hiked to Reef Beach and back. Went snorkling every day, sailing one day and toured St. Thomas. They both wanted to stay and would go back in a heartbeat as would my wife and I. I would tell you to bring the kids but don't expect a quiet relaxing vacation.
