Getting around the island....can we calk to restaurants, the ferries, and around red hook to attractions? I'm thinking of renting a car/jeep for just a day or two instead of all week. This day or two will give us a chance to see the majority of St. Thomas and CA shopping.
2. Still on that subject. We are both 23 years old, will we have any trouble getting a rental car?
3. The ferry to Virgin Gorda....do you think it is worth the money? We would be going in the am and coming back on the pm. I was thinking about doing this when the cruise ships are in at STT.
4. Last but not least....Thong swimming suits...are these acceptable on the beaches of St. Thomas and St. John. My fiance would like to wear her Wicked Weasel to avoid tan lines. She'll be very respectable and won't flaught it, but wiould like to lay out on the beach in it.
If I think of anything else I'll post again.
Thanks, Brian
"Getting around the island....can we calk to restaurants, the ferries, and around red hook to attractions?"
-There are no sidewalks or shoulders on the roads, so I would not recommend walking anywhere. While IN Red Hook, you may stroll around for the entire 2 block section that IS Red Hook.

-Yes. Most renatls reguire a minumum age of 25.

-Yes, definitely worth it. Beautiful at the Baths!

-Yes, that is OK on the beach. No swimsuits in town for men or women.
Hello Brian,
Walking isn't a suitable means of transportation on St. Thomas. Virgin Gorda is worth visiting; if you wanted to do the STT-Virgin Gorda ferry take a look at the schedule as that ferry only runs two days each week. At the very top of this page there is a link to ferry schdedules.
