Hello again, I am going to St.Croix in March and want to go to another island for a day.
Should I go to St Thomas or St. John? I am having a hard time reading the postings . I have to get a map out on almost everyone !! I don't know the places everyone is talking about or on what island they are on. I want to go to all of them! I noticed that St Thomas has the best shopping duty free aren't all the islands duty free?? Sorry for all the questions .

Yes, they are all dury free, but STT is known for it's great selection. STJ is 3/4 national park, and is the most picturesque of the 3. But, The only way you would be able to do STJ is to take the seaplane or fast ferry to STT, then a ferry to STJ. A one day trip over is not usaully the norm. IMHO, I'd scrap STX and stay on either STT, or STJ, and make a day of the other one. Unless you really like to gamble! Haha!

Hello Lynne,

St. Croix has a little of everything, its a good choice. There is shopping there and its duty free. If you want to do an island hop for the day come over to St. Thomas, its the easiest. St. John would require two parts (St. Croix to St. Thomas & then St. Thomas to St. John... that would really use up much of your day.) Lots to see on St. Croix and many great restaurants!
