We will be in St. Thomas during the week after Easter 2005. We look to stay in low rises or condos on a beautiful beach. Also like to have a kitchenette. Best Western Emerald Beach Resort, Bolongo Bay, and Elysian Beach Resort have been recommended. Seeking opinions from people in the know.
Thanks and Best Regards,
Debi

i am glad to read all of this...i was worried about possible bugs at secret harbour on the ground floor so now after reading the point pleasant bug situation i will take your advice and opt for the secret harbour UPPER floor....great view and hopefully less 'visitors' crawling in from the terrace...lol

Thanks, Future Islander!

I'm glad to hear you would forward to management. because I was extemely dissapointed in how the situation was handled by the front desk staff.

Frankly, I doubt my complaints were ever passed on. As for the "sugar ants". I really don't mind bugs when they're outside, etc. But, I was on vacation and constantly cleaning a unit that I paid to stay in was a bit frustrating.

I have to say that bugs were kept to a minimum outside at PP. I was chewed up mightily by the bugs at the Anchorage when we tried to go to Arthurs Cafe for dinner one night. We figured PP had an aggressive exterior exterminating program.

BTW - How did Linda ever pay $360 a night??? OUCH

Perhaps we should ocnsider privately arranging for our next stay through an owner. At least then we would have access to the people we pay if we're not happy.

I got my film pictures back last week (already had my digitals - but no water photos). I still can't get over how beautiful everything is on the island. I miss STT!!!!!!

Stefanie:

I've found that Antilles Resorts, the P.P. management company, is pretty responsive (at least to me). Mr. Richard Locke is the Antilles' manager and Jenifer Jarvis is the (Antilles) hotel manager located at P.P. The message has been forwarded. Thank you for your comments. My wife & I take pride in our unit and expect our guests to have a great ,comfortable and "hassle free" experience.

Regards,

F.I.

P.S. The $360./night sounds high (however, she rented a 2 bedroom unit). She didn't return an answer regarding when she was there. It might have been "high season". We have a 1 bedroom top of the hill unit that has been renting (off season) for $120. per night.

My husband and I visited St. Thomas for the first time two weeks ago and loved it. We rented a car, shopped, snorkeled and relaxed. We would like to return next year (August 2005) with our adult children. We want to rent...an apartment, condo, villa.. or such(need two bedroom minumum)..for about 5 days. Need suggestions.....thanks.
