:-):-):-):-):-)St. Thomas V.I. 2008 Sailing Report:
We highly recommend day sailing on the 44' Independence sail boat while on St. Thomas!
My wife & I have returned to St. Thomas for the 5th time, this time for several months. We are from California and enjoy being on the water. We have sailed several times on the Independence sailboat with Captain Pat Stoeken -WOW what a great experience.
Every time we go out we take different friends with us and everyone loves Captain Pat's very friendly, personalized service. Captain Pat is a very skilled sailing professional. Captain Pat is never to busy to answer the many questions about sailing & the Caribbean, she has sailed it for over 20 years. The Independence 44' sail boat is a beautiful meticulously maintained. Safety is number one on her sail boat.
At lunch time Captain Pat personally prepare you and delicious lunch & serves fantastic "rum punch drinks" - what else could you ask for!
Captain Pat & her first mate make sure everyone is given the opportunity to go snorkeling or swimming at one or two great reef locations along the way. She helps you get geared up to snorkel. Captain Pat's first mate personally leads you to the best locations to snorkel & explains many of the fish & plant life along the way. Captain Pat is always there ready to help you get back into the boat & offers you a warm fresh water shower & cleans up your gear while you are enjoying a fresh new beverage of your choose.
Thank you Captain Pat for all the great experiences,
The Spangler's
Thanks for the reccomondation for the Independence. Do you know a website we can check for them? We are coming in May and cannot decide between a day sail to St John, or a power boat ride on the Horizon II to the BVI's.
