Does anyone know the 2006 dates yet? I am trying to book my wedding and I have been told it is not a good time to be tourist as it is extremely over-crowded and crazy in the city.

Hello Paige,

Its too early for the St. Thomas Carnival schedule.

To help you plan here is a guess.

The parades are the finale and they are usually the last Friday & Saturday in April. So I'd say a good GUESS is that the parades will be April 28th & 29th. The major Carnival events occur during the final 10 days or so, but Carnival events do last for about 3 weeks.

So I'd say if you are trying to avoid Carnival, first 10 days of April would be good or wait until May.
