Hello All,

As mentioned in my 'Survey Says' post a few days ago we are updating the site. And the St. Thomas Beach section is almost completed. There are 5 pages, 20 beaches. https://www.vinow.com/stthomas/beaches_stt/

The almost finished part is that we plan to add new/more pictures, which will come later on.

If anyone has any feedback on the descpiptions please let me know.

We also updated the historical sights in Charlotte Amalie section; updated the text, some new pictures. Check it out. https://www.vinow.com/stthomas/attractions_stt/attractions_town2.php

More to come :D.

Wonderful additions to the beach section. Sigh.........

Just a couple of things caught my attention:

Under the attractions at Coki Beach it mentions jet-ski. I don't remember any jet-ski rentals at Coki. Thankfully they were not there when I visited the beach a couple of times in August.

In the frequently asked question section you mention that although beaches are public, the resorts and their pools, lounges, etc., are for the use of resort guests only. Then, in the descriptions of the beaches you mention the resort facilities. As a timeshare owner at one of the beach resorts on St. Thomas we are currently having issues with cabloads of cruise ship tourists being driven in as an excursion deal with the restaurant owner and taking over the resort pools, chairs and lounges and other resort amenities, leaving no place for resort guests to sit or relax (or enjoy a quiet peaceful afternoon on the beach). They also leave a mess on the beach and the grounds in their wake. Just thought I'd mention it as it's a current concern.

Otherwise, the updated beach section is beautiful.

Congratulations on the successful updates! I like the new beach info (and I've always loved the ease of finding beach info on your site). I am especially pleased that my favorite beach remains elusive and didn't make the list 😉

Well done!

PS: I do prefer viewing the pics with the smaller copyright in the corner as opposed to the transparent copyright across the entire pics. I think it detracts from the image and detracts from the professionalism of the site. JMHO.

Beach section looks great! I will be enjoying a few of them in 2 short weeks! Reading the descriptions on the beaches got me thinking- is there any kind of schedule that shows the cruise ships itineraries? What ships and what days in port, etc? That would be a big help to know when to avoid certain places...

Hello,

Thanks for the feedback.

Scubaman - yes, scroll to the top of this very page and click on Cruise Ship Guide & Schedule. It comes out monthly. 😉

Bluwater - Completely agree on the watermarks. Works on some pictures but doesn't look good on the beach shots. Working on a less distracting one.

Gerie - the jetskis are not at Coki Beach exactly, they are on the opposite side of the parking area. The side that faces Water Bay and Point Pleasant etc. Going to add a note that clarifies that.

Also will make the FAQ about hotel amenities more of a NOTE or FYI.

Thanks again.
