I am trying to find the person who posted the photos of the airport in St. Thomas. Can anyone help me? I want to pass it on to my relatives who have never flown into St. Thomas (they will in June). They don't believe me about the runway. Thanks

I posted a picture of the runway at STT. Search under my name (do you know how to do that??). You will find the runway picture.

Yes, it is strange to see. But, before that, the runway was too short. There was a horrific plane crash in the 70s because of the previously short runway. This is why it was extended out into the sea, as you see today.
The runaway isn't bad compared to how it used to be. Doesn't even compare.
Check out U-Tube. Search under St. Thomas and look for video " Scary Landing St. Thomas". Not scary to me. Just normal landing.
