You may want to search the old threads for ideas. The "what is there to do" posts don't get mnay answers because that info is available in many forms on this website and people get tired of typing the same info each day - and the Bluebeard Beach Club has tons of threads with people asking about it and lots of replies from those in the know - try searching.

I haven't found any bars that are right out in the sand, like I've seen on other islands - but I've enjoyed "beach bars" at Magens Bay, Secret Harbour, Emerald Beach, and I've read that the Hull Bay "Hideaway" is a good spot. I think there's a bar at Morningstar - not sure.

Enjoy!

Hi Hotrod,

I realize you are leaving tomorrow and hope you get to read this before you leave. I also hope that when you return you'll write a report on your stay and tell us what you think of Bluebeard's Beach Club.

I'm a timeshare owner there and look forward to my stay each year. It's a small resort, with only 74 units in either studio, loft or one-bedroom configurations. Each unit has at least a kitchenette, a bed and a sleep sofa. The on-site restaurant is open for breakfast and dinner only I believe, with lunch served at the pool bar.

There is a small but lovely beach right on the premises named Limetree Beach which has enough sealife to make snorkeling interesting. There is also a pool with a pool bar that seems to get some activity each day.

It's good that you've rented a vehicle as Bluebeard's Beach Club is not within walking distance of anything else. You are not too far from downtown, which has some good places for nightlife, especially the Greenhouse. Also Shipwreck Tavern is just across from Havensight Mall, where the cruise ships dock. The resort is also located not too far from Iggie's, on the same road to the east. This is another fun beach bar with lively night life.

If you have the time or the inclination, they will attempt to get you to listen to their timeshare spiel for about half an hour. The downside of this is that it's a sales pitch. The upside is that you get a coupon to go out on the New Horizon Day Sale for about $55 per person, which is about half the normal price. You will also get discounts on other items and I believe 10% off meals at the resort.

If you do get to read this and have any further questions before you leave, don't hesitate to ask. Otherwise, have a great time!!!

Gerie

Thank you so much for writing that. I appreciate it. I'm the posters daughter. We've been going to St. Thomas since I was young and last week it was a last minute deal my dad found so we thought we would try a new place to try out! The flight deals and hotel were too good to pass up!

I'm going to print this up so my parents will read this and they will write a report! My parents know the island inside out, which is definitely more fun when we are there. Thank you again and he will update you! 🙂
