*We are going on a cruise in AUG.one of the ports of call is St.Thomas.What would you suggest seeing/doing when we are only going to be in port for 10 hrs,actually less because you have to be back on ship about 30/45 min before they set sail.Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.Thanks.Also,would you suggest going it solo or ships excurstion tour?

Depending on the activity you select my opionion of whether to do a cruise ship excursion, or set it up yourself changes. Some things like shopping, going to St. John, going to Coral World can be done on your own.... If you wanted to do say a walk historical tour then I would recommend you do this with a group. In all cases they can be done on your own, solo, however some excursions whether set up with the cruise ship or a private booking company are better taken as a group with a tour guide for example.
