I'm wondering if I should plan the event myself since I want small and casual or if I should hire a coordinator? I saw a website for a women named Stacy. We are getting married in two months on St. John. This is all last minute since we decided we wanted to go away with a few friends and family versus doing the big wedding. I am thinking Trunk Bay with a small gathering at our villa for drinks and food. Maybe some steel drums for music. Anyone you would suggest for food, music, etc... Anything that I am not thinking about??? Do people have music on the beach when they get married? Any advice would be appreciated.

Hey BetBet. My wife and I got married on the beach in St John this past June. My wife planned everything and saved us a ton of money. If you are doing a small casual thing, I think you can handle it yourself. My wife accomplised everything with a few emails and a few follow up phone calls. Congrats and let me know if you need any advise!

Stacy is a very good planner. She had some surprise vow renewals for me last year. You will be glad that she handled everything for you.

Thank you so much for all the information! Posting on this board has been so helpful! We found a website for Anne Marie and she seems like a really great minister. She apparently obtains the permits to get married on Trunk Bay. I definitely think that we will use her and maybe talk to Stacy. I think I might be able to swing the planning myself since we are only having 10 people joining us. I AM SO EXCITED! This is going to be so casual, beautiful and romantic! Thank you again for all the great websites and advice!!!
