Does anyone have experience with St. John water temps in late November. We're about to finalize a Thanksgiving trip down there, but are concerned about cold water, since snorkeling is tops on our list of things to do. Other than possibly being a little on the chilly side, is there a risk that the water will simply be too cold to enter?
The water is usually warm and inviting all year long. We have been in late October and it was wonderful. I don't think that it ever really gets cold or even chilly.

We went last Thanksgiving and the water was great - not cold at all. We are preparing for another trip down this Thanksgiving.

Thanks. We're also concerned that November is the rainiest month on average. Any comments from those with experience and/or knowledge?
Thanks. How was the rain last Thanksgiving? Did it rain a lot?
Soctt,
No - as I mentioned on your other post, it was not a problem at all. We did the New Horizons II trip on Thanksgiving Day and it was a beautiful hot and sunny day. Maybe someone who lives there can comment on late November trends for rainfall ...

I've been on St John over Thanksgiving into early Dec several times and, while there have been rainy days now and then, I've not had my vacation spoiled by the weather. The locals consider the water to be colling off by late Nov/early Dec, but I found it comfortable and I prefer it warm. I know they have had heavy rains in early Nov,but I've always been lucky and missed them.
