We are returning for our 4th villa week on St John in 60 days. We are renting throuf carbbeanvillas.com again. This time renting a villa in Fish Bay area called Unicorn by the Sea. I'm looking for any first hand experience with this particular villa.

I rented Unicorn April 2001. That was our 4th time renting a villa in St. John. I was a little disappointed with the villa, but we were used to
renting the same house every year so we wanted to try a new place. It was just different than what we were used to. When we were there, they had a bug infestation problem and the house had to be sprayed a couple of times. The pool and surrounding deck is very nice. The pool is small, but it does the job of cooling you off.
The 2 bedrooms in the main house have been totally remodeled and are very nice. If you're going with other couples, I would take one of those rooms instead of the guest house. That has not been remodeled and it a little weathered (remember this was a year ago).
The ride to the villa is quite the experience. Some of the roads don't look like they should be traveled on, but it's all part of the ambiance of St. John.
It's like a good 20-25 minutes from Cruz Bay to Fish Bay.
Again, had we not rented a villa before Unicorn, we would have liked it, but we were used to our particular villa that we rented.
