Hello,
We will be camping at Cinnamon Bay for 14 days landing in St Thomas at 2:45 pm on a Sunday. We will be laden with all our camping gear and personal effects. The two of us will each be carrying the maxium airline baggage allowance (3 bags, 140 lbs). Our movements will be bound to airport taxi's, the ferry, and the Safari bus on St. John.
After we land, we will need to stock up on supplies (e.g., water, food, cigarettes, rum, etc.). Should we take the Charlotte Amile ferry and stock up in St. Cruz or the Red Hook ferry and stock up there?
Regards,

Hi Mike, either way would be ok. Although you will have a better selection via the Red Hook option. Prices on some items might be slightly cheaper too. Best of luck to you.
PS.... am in Monroe Twp.
Patrick has a good pint, but shopping on STT does add to your already large load of stuff to bring over on the ferry.
I'm more of a "get there first" person, so I'd get to STJ and then have a cabbie take me to a store or 2 once I got there. Try running over to Starfish for supplies. They have a good enough selection at prices that only make you gag a little bit.
PS - Live in Hackettstown (making this an All-NJ thread)
I like the Marina Market in STT. I bring some freezer bags from home for the cold stuff. We rent a car from STT using Budget-drive over to the Marina Market-shop then take the car ferry over to STJ-all loaded up with luggage, food and us!
PS-From Great Meadows, NJ-
shop in cruz bay, st john.... there are at least 2 grocery type stores...
you can get basics at cinnamon bay store, or at least eat dinner and bfast the next day and get stuff in cruz bay after that
